Glenn Sanders, Head Coach
Offensive Coordinator, Running Backs
Coach Sanders, a native of Saltillo, MS is a 24-year coaching veteran. Prior to being named head coach, he served as offensive coordinator for five of his six years at West Lauderdale. He also spent 17 years coaching in Alabama, 14 of which were at Sumter Academy in York, where he coached football, baseball, and basketball in the head coach capacity, and served as principal for 10 years. He earned BS and MAT degrees from Livingston University (now the University of West Alabama) where he also lettered in baseball. He played football, baseball, and basketball while in junior college. He is married to the former Suzie Lavender of Wilmer, Alabama and their family includes daughter Becky, and her husband, Bryan Schimmel of Macon, MS; and Henry, 17, a senior lineman at West Lauderdale.

Brock Clay
Defensive Coordinator, Linebackers
Coach Clay is in his second season with the Knights. He is a 1995 graduate of West Lauderdale where he was a member of the football and baseball teams. He played baseball at East Mississippi Community College. He graduated from EMCC in 1997 and Mississippi State University in 2000. His coaching career began at Starkville High School (1997-2000) as a student-coach where he worked with quarterbacks and linebackers. He spent the next six years at Meridian High School where he served as junior high coordinator, high school assistant, and finally defensive coordinator. Most recently he was head coach at Kemper County High School. Coach Clay is married to the former Kyla Holloman of Quitman, MS and they are the parents of two daughters: McKenna, age 7, and Ashlynn, age 2.

Daniel Calvert
Defensive Backs
Coach Daniel Calvert enters his
fifth season with the Knights where he coaches defensive
backs. He is a graduate of Kemper Academy where he
played football and baseball. He attended East
Mississippi Community College and the University of West
Alabama, where he played football for two years.
After graduating from UWA in 2004 with a B. S.
degree, Coach Calvert coached football and baseball for
two years at Kemper Academy.
He also served as an assistant baseball coach for
the West Lauderdale Knights from 2007-2009.
He is married to the former Kathryn Montgomery
and they have one son, Cade, age 18 months.

Jason Smith
Coach Smith is in his second season with the Knights. He is a graduate of Thompson High School in Alabaster, AL. He played collegiate baseball at the University of West Alabama. After graduating from UWA in 2002, Coach Smith spent four years as an assistant football and baseball coach at West Lauderdale. The past three years, he has been the head baseball coach at Chelsea High School in Chelsea, AL. Coach Smith and his family are very excited to return to Collinsville. He and his wife Kimberly have been married for 8 years and have a 4-year-old son, Carson.

Glenn Boothe
Offensive Line
Coach Boothe is in his second season with the Knights. He is a 1994 graduate of Hale County High School in Moundville, Alabama where he was an all-state selection. He played on the offensive line at the University of Alabama-Birmingham before transferring to the University of West Alabama where he lettered two years. He earned his B.S. in Social Science in 2000 and his M.Ed. in Education Administration in 2004. Prior to coming to West Lauderdale, he coached offensive line and defensive tackles at Northeast Lauderdale High School (2000-2009). He is married to the former Morgan Amick of Pleasant Grove, Alabama and they have one son, Andrew Bryant Boothe, who will be 3 in September.
